BECAUSE A PHOTO DOESN’T ALWAYS SHOW THE TRUE PICTURE

  • Is it on a noisy street, above the garage entrance, near a restaurant with loud festivities, or up a steep hill?
  • What do the paint and floor really look like?
  • Will they fix the dripping faucets or moldy caulking?
  • Does it need another cleaning?
  • Will the smell from being near a dumpster or restaurant’s vent prevent you from fully enjoying the picturesque patio
  • How long does it really take to walk to the metro or bus stop?
  • What’s the parking situation?  Is there really guest parking?
  • Will your furniture actually fit in the rooms?
  • Is there enough closet or storage space?
I will search for rentals that meet your needs and do initial visits to ensure places are as advertised!  Just fill out the questionnaire about your housing needs and what you want from your local neighborhood.  We can chat more about your preferences and I will present you with the best options.  You then select the ones that I will personally visit.  I will take measurements and pictures as well as check out the overall building and its surroundings.  I will report back, including what listings or ads leave out.

ABOUT ME

I moved to Ballston in 1987 as a graduate student because it was cheap and I had no car.  There wasn’t much out here then, but the convenience of the metro was great.  Over the years, I have watched the Rosslyn to Ballston Metro Corridor grow from being rather sleepy to being one of the hottest areas in the country.  I love living here, being in a very walkable area, and taking advantage of all the offerings.  I want you to have the same amazing Arlington experience!

If I had been any good in math and physics, I’d be an architect.  Instead, I worked on international affairs and spent my free time renovating low income housing and my own and friends’ places as well as helping others look for places to rent or buy.  I am now retired from the government and look forward to helping you!

To better assist you and understand the real estate world, I now have a Virginia Real Estate Salesperson license.  The license is inactive and I am not working for a broker, so I can help you find your perfect rental.
